Facilitator, Coach, and Educator

Monica Livingston went from professional athlete to the person organizations call when they need someone to teach their teams how to negotiate, lead, and perform under pressure. She’s spent years mastering the art of making serious topics feel accessible with sharp wit and award-winning humor to help people learn skills they’ll use in their everyday lives.

Monica has stood in front of thousands of people, including organizations like the NBA, NFL, MLB, FedEx, and the National Institutes of Health. They keep inviting her back, which says something about how she takes serious topics and makes them stick.

She owns a business, coaches clients as a Mental Performance Coach and Room Tilter at Limitless Minds (co-founded by NFL QB Russell Wilson), is an adjunct professor at American University, and trains professionals in negotiation through Shapiro Negotiations Institute. She also serves as VP of Diversity for the DC Divas Women’s Professional Tackle Football Team because supporting women in sports remains close to her heart.

Experience and Expertise

Monica knows negotiation, decision making, leadership, performance improvement, coaching, and sales because she’s lived them from multiple angles. Since May 2022, she’s been delivering negotiation skills training as a Negotiation Trainer with SNI. These sessions help people handle everything from high-stakes business deals to the everyday interactions that can make or break relationships with colleagues and clients.

At Limitless Minds, Monica also works to build resilience, optimism, and mental strength in her clients. She helps individuals and teams break through whatever’s holding them back and perform at levels they didn’t think possible.

Meanwhile, in January 2024, she took her experiences into academia, where she began teaching Negotiation and Conflict Resolution as an Adjunct Professor at American University’s School of Public Affairs.

Her approach pulls from her years as a professional athlete and business owner. She understands performance pressure, what it takes to win, and how humor can disarm tension and open minds. You’ll find her delivering keynotes that educate and inspire without relying on jargon.

Education and Personal

Monica graduated from University of Maryland Baltimore County with a degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Education. Her years as a professional athlete taught her about pushing limits, recovering from failure, and trusting the process. Those lessons transferred directly into business and now into every keynote and coaching session she delivers. She believes complex ideas should feel simple and that learning works best when people enjoy the process. Monica lives in Washington, DC, and travels whenever possible.
