Director of Business Development

Max Berger has spent 13-plus years learning how to win business in markets where the rules are rarely the same. He has led a sales organization of more than 300 people in Cambodia, helped a FinTech venture raise $500,000 from international investors, and built commercial relationships across Southeast Asia, North America, and Latin America. His work has covered telecommunications, banking, data, software, and professional services.

At SNI, Max is often one of the first people a client gets to know. He sits down with executives and learning leaders to understand the business problem behind a training request, then works with the team that will build the program. He stays involved after the agreement is signed, which has helped him turn initial engagements into long-term partnerships.

Experience and Expertise

South East Asia was one of the defining chapters of Max’s career. He led business development for Wing Bank before moving to ADA, where he served as Director of Business Development. Those roles gave him responsibility for national and international sales teams, new sources of revenue, and partnerships in a fast-growing market.

Max also knows what it feels like to build a company while the model is still taking shape. He co-founded Brixie, a FinTech company that raised more than $500,000 in seed funding, and Quadrant AI, an AI solutions company. In these ventures, he learned what growth looks like before an established team or proven model even exists, and when there’s zero room for error.

Clients can talk to Max about a program rollout, a revenue target, or the pressure of entering a new market because he’s had to make each of those decisions himself.

Education and Personal

Max earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Management and Leadership from Saint John’s University in Minnesota, with a minor in Communication. He also completed a FinTech certificate through Harvard University’s Vice Provost for Advances in Learning. Originally from Chile, Max now lives in Bogotá, Colombia, and is fluent in English and Spanish. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, golfing, hiking, volunteering, and scuba diving. He is also a PADI-certified diver.
