Michael Patterson brings over two decades of facilitation expertise to every room he enters. A Master Facilitator at SNI since 2003, Mike has guided executives through complex negotiations and strategic planning sessions at Fortune 500 companies worldwide. His client roster reads like a who’s who of corporate America—Verizon, Boeing, Sanofi, TEKsystems, Wells Fargo, Philips, Pratt & Whitney along with various other government agencies and non-profits.
Experience and Expertise
Mike’s career started in the Air National Guard as a systems specialist, where he learned that good planning makes all the difference. He brought that discipline to Abbott Laboratories, spending nearly a decade moving from engineer to management and sales leadership roles. There, he discovered his talent for turning technical challenges into practical solutions.
Since 1996, Mike has led On Track Leadership, Inc., helping executives and business owners improve productivity, develop strategic plans, and become better leaders. His approach combines coaching, training, and consulting to help clients reach their goals more efficiently. This background, both as a corporate insider and independent consultant, made him a natural fit for SNI when he joined in 2003.
Mike’s facilitation style has taken him across the globe, from boardrooms in Nanjing, China (where he participated in an exchange program studying cross-cultural business dynamics) to training sessions throughout the Netherlands and Japan.
Education and Personal
Mike earned his stripes academically with a B.Sc. from Eastern Illinois University and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois.
When Mike’s not helping Fortune 500 executives close deals, you can find him on the soccer pitch coaching youth teams (three years and counting) or giving back to the community through board roles at Omro Youth Services and Warm Blankets Orphan Care.
Home base for Mike is Barrington, Illinois, where he lives with his wife and three children.
