Professional Background

Howard “Howie” Roseman is the architect of the Super Bowl LII and Super Bowl LIX Championship rosters, serving as Executive Vice President/General Manager in his 26th season with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Roseman was born in Brooklyn on June 23, 1975, grew up in Marlboro Township, NJ, and always dreamed of working in the league. As a student at Marlboro High School, the University of Florida, and Fordham Law School, he sent over 1,000 letters to teams just trying to get his foot in the door.

That persistence paid off when he finally landed an unpaid internship with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2000. From there, he worked his way up through different jobs in the front office until the Eagles made him their general manager in 2010.

Today, Roseman has the best winning percentage of any Eagles GM with personnel authority. He’s completely changed how the team builds its roster and develops players, taking a more collaborative approach that’s made him one of the most respected executives in the league.

Experience and Expertise

Roseman’s expertise spans multiple facets of NFL operations.

In his 11 years at the helm, Philadelphia has had eight playoff appearances with five division crowns (2013, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2024), three conference titles (2017, 2022, 2024), and two Super Bowl Championships (LII, LIX). His innovative approach to roster construction has earned him recognition as one of two general managers to win multiple Super Bowls and NFL Executive of the Year awards from the Pro Football Writers of America.

Roseman is responsible for the personnel and scouting staffs and oversees all areas of football operations, including but not limited to sports medicine and performance, analytics, football administration, football technology, and player development.

His ability to balance short-term success with long-term sustainability sets him apart in the industry, as does his league-leading expertise of the salary cap.

Education and Personal

Roseman earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida before completing his JD at Fordham Law School.

Today, Roseman and his wife, Mindy, live in suburban Philadelphia with their four children. He is also very active in philanthropic work through the Eagles Youth Partnership, the team’s public charity, serving over 50,000 low-income children in the region annually through health and education programs.
