Professional Background
Ed Wallace is a Managing Director at AchieveNEXT Human Capital and President and Chief Relationship Officer of The Relational Capital Group. He speaks with companies and organizations around the world with a client list that’s a Who’s Who of Fortune 500 Companies.
Wallace has established himself as the foremost authority on business relationships and their impact on performance. His expertise centers on helping organizations and leaders build powerful relationships that drive business results. He’s written four books on the topic: Fares to Friends, Creating Relational Capital, Business Relationships That Last, and his latest #1 bestseller, The Relationship Engine.
Ed is also heavily involved in education, as he currently serves on the Executive Education faculty of Drexel’s LeBow College of Business and Villanova University’s Human Resources Master’s program.
Experience and Expertise
Wallace brings decades of hands-on experience to every engagement. He’s worked directly with executives at major corporations and taught them how to turn everyday interactions into competitive advantages.
His keynotes are known for getting people directly involved. Audiences walk away knowing how to find common ground with challenging clients, shift from giving orders to building collaboration, and make every conversation count.
Wallace’s approach comes from real-world testing. He’s seen what works when relationships fall apart and what saves them. His methods help leaders put relationships ahead of rigid processes and show genuine intent that people can trust.
For instance, “The Relationship Engine” gives readers tools they can use immediately. The book includes an RQ Assessment that measures where your business relationships stand right now, plus an Action Planner that maps out exactly how to strengthen weak connections. Wallace also provides templates for building relationships both up and down the corporate ladder, whether you’re dealing with the C-Suite or an important client.
Education and Personal
Wallace graduated from Villanova University cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting in 1981. During college, he also served as a Resident Hall Advisor and helped launch TAU Kappa Omega fraternity, early signs of his natural ability to bring people together. He then completed his MBA in Marketing at Drexel University in 1984.
Wallace lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife, Laura, and their two sons, and is active in professional and nonprofit boards in the area.
