Steve has been a professional actor, coach, and trainer for over 35 years and when he is not training at SNI he makes his living in theatre, voiceover, film, and television. He has a extensive history of working in the professional training & coaching industry and is passionate about the value of drama and communication in the learning and development environment of the business world. In his role as a teacher, Steve has been focused on helping organizations maximize their most valued resource — their people. Whether focusing on developing leadership skills, managing through difficult times or role-playing challenging conversations, he brings a talent for getting to the heart of the issue and working towards positive change. He’s skilled in both improvisation and scripted work and has been instrumental in the delivery of programs in the areas of networking, negotiation and management skills.

Professional Background

His clients have included Fortune 500 companies in a variety of areas, including banking, insurance, legal, medicine, manufacturing, energy, utilities, technology, accounting, telecommunications, and retail. Just a few examples include: PwC, Banana Republic, The Gap, AT&T, Morgan Stanley, Allstate, and Boeing. Additionally, as a “legal actor” and role-player, he’s performed numerous mock trials, deposition training, ethics training and interview technique training utilizing NITA (National Institute for Trial Advocacy) programs.

Education

Steve holds an MFA in Acting (FSU Asolo Conservatory) and Bachelors in Theatre and Journalism (Indiana University). He’s a longtime member of the performers’ unions Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA and served two terms on the Chicago Board of Screen Actors Guild.
